Butterfly Blue Pea tea, made from the flowers of the Clitoria ternatea plant, is notable for its vibrant blue color, which can change to purple when lemon juice is added. This herbal tea has a mild, earthy taste and is often enjoyed for both its visual appeal and health benefits. It contains antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which contribute to its color and may help improve eye health, boost brain health, and reduce inflammation. Butterfly Blue Pea tea is also said to have calming effects, aiding in stress reduction and promoting relaxation. Its caffeine-free nature makes it a great choice for any time of the day.

Here's a general steeping guide for flower, green, and black loose leaf teas to help you brew the perfect cup:

Flower Loose Leaf Teas

*Water Temperature: 190-205°F (88-96°C)
*Amount of Tea: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 ounces (240 ml) of water
*Steeping Time: 5-10 minutes
*Notes: Flower teas, such as chamomile or hibiscus, often benefit from longer steeping times to fully release their flavors and aromas.

Green Loose Leaf Teas

*Water Temperature: 175-185°F (80-85°C)
*Amount of Tea: 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces (240 ml) of water
*Steeping Time: 2-3 minutes
*Notes: Green teas are sensitive to high temperatures and over-steeping, which can produce a bitter taste. Adjust steeping time according to personal preference for strength.

Black Loose Leaf Teas

*Water Temperature: 200-212°F (93-100°C)
*Amount of Tea: 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces (240 ml) of water
*Steeping Time: 3-5 minutes
*Notes: Black teas, including Assam, can handle high temperatures and have a flexible steeping range. Longer steeping yields a stronger, more robust flavor.

General Tips:

*Water Quality: Use fresh, filtered water for the best taste.
*Adjustments: Feel free to adjust the amount of tea and steeping time to match your flavor preference.
*Serving: Enjoy your tea as is, or add milk, sweetener, or lemon as desired.

Blue pea tea: A Lovely Find

I recently tried loose leaf Butterfly Blue Pea tea and it’s been a great discovery. The tea’s blue color is so pretty and it tastes really light and refreshing. I love adding a bit of lemon to see it change color—it’s like a little bit of magic in my cup. It’s become my go-to drink when I want something calming. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for something new in your tea collection.
